I was challenged by stebolicious to chop down a foot-wide tree with a Fixed Bladed Skyline. Being the person I am, I stupidly agreed to it. This will be the thread that I will be uploading videos, as that was one of the rules. I will also be giving updates on days when I can and can't do some chopping. I'm a student so I don't have all day to be chopping down a tree. I will try my best to get videos up daily or at least a day apart. They will be numbered, starting from day one. Also, Photobucket only allows you to upload 10 minute videos. So there may be some days when I'll have multiple videos from the same day. The videos are recorded from a phone, so they're not the best quality, but It's all I've got so bear with me. If you have any questions, just ask. A little bit about the knife. It's the standard black G-10 Fixed Blade. It's got a blade of 14C28N and has a stonewashed finish. The finish has held up amazingly well. I am very impressed and it might become my favorite finish. One problem I have encountered while chopping is the handle is really thin (which is normally good), but for chopping it starts to hurt your hand. But, the Skyline isn't really made to be chopping down a full sized tree, so I can't complain. I love it for what it is.
