Hi All,
My first post, so I thought I would show you a couple of the knives I just finished.
My disclaimer is that in no way shape or form am I trying to capitalize on the Becker BK2 or profit from Ethan's' quality design. These blades were made in admiration of the BK2 only, and they are simply my rendition of this great knife.
I have been manufacturing heavy duty knives for a while now, and I wanted to make a super sized version of the BK2. They are 3/8" thick and made from 5160 truck leaf springs that have been deferentially heat treated. The first has a 6" long blade and the second has a 10" long blade, respectively named the HD 6 and HD 10. You guessed it, HD means Heavy Duty. I have found these knives to be indestructible. The drawback is that they are on the heavy side, but they are made to be more than just knives. Pry, dig, throw, stab, and anything else I could throw at them, they just smile and ask for more. OK, so maybe I am just a little proud of them.
What I like best about these knives is the handle design. When chopping with the knives, the hook for the hand really keeps the knife in place.
Becker knives are great knives, these are just Becker like knives on steroids. Hope you like them.
