Triceratops Pocket Sheath

I’m extending the depth of my right hand jeans pocket and I’d like to carry my Triceratops in a pocket sheath. Are there any sheaths on the market that would work for this use or is there anybody wanting to design, build and sell me pocket sheaths for the Triceratops? I’d buy at least four of them.

I will be making pocket, IWB and belt sheaths for this beautiful knife.

just as soon as they get here.

I have to wait like everyone else.

I do have a pre-order started though, if you get on it, yours will be some of the first made.

some sheath mounting options.

The Ulticlip seems to be what you would be after.

What does a IWB knife sheath look like for a knife as long as the Triceratops? Does it clip to the belt or pants?

I will have to do some thinking on this one.

He has told me it needs to be completely hidden in the pocket, no clips can show due to where he lives.

May have to figure out how to mount the Mummert knife clips. I like them a lot more than the Ulticip.

I like them but they are expensive (20.00 to 30.00 + shipping) in my opinion.
But they should mount right up on my eyelets spacing, so you could order the sheath with no attachment.

The spyderco g-clip is another option.

also in the OP's case clips for pocket carry are not an option.

What about an alligator clip mounted on the side or bottom like the old Hideaway knives?

Where is OP located where clips are illegal but a 4" dual edge blade isn't. Or do we not really want to know?

I’ve an idea. Since you’re modding your pocket to fit the Triceratops, why not add an additional pocket? Like a change pocket on a pair of jeans, only inside your extended pocket. That way, you could clip a regular sheath to the secret pocket, keeping everything concealed and connected.

Then again, the draw from such depths would be dangerous. Might need to extend the height of the sheath towards the pommel in order to protect the user.

If you are extending/modifying your pockets to fit a 9.5" knife, why not make IT the leather sheath?
I'm sure you wouldn't want keys and change in there with the knife anyways... 🧐

Would that be permanent press, or a trip to the dry cleaners?

I'm not sure how a pocket sheath would with with this knife even with an extended pocket. Would most of the handle be above the pocket? That's a long handle to be sticking out of a pocket.

If the entire handle isn't outside the pocket, that would be a really dangerous draw since the blade would have a chance to cut something since it wouldn't clear the pocket on draw.

I love how all the guys are saying "cut something" without saying what. Lol.

But with this knife, if I was gonna deep carry here is what I'd do.

I'd get a kydex sheath with tighter retention. Have the maker put two lanyard holes on the bottom.

Thread paracord through the holes, and have a square not connecting the parachord to my belt.

So the handle would sit as low/high on my waist as I decided. I'm thinking half the knife out at an angle.

Similar to the clinch pick.

I'm sure if your custom modifying your pants you can put a loop to clip something similar to what I described in your pocket.

You'll just have to really commit on the draw to clear the sheath and your pocket.

Helps if your 6'2" with gorilla arms and hands like me.

I appendix carry a g19 with an rmr and tlr1hl. Thinking I may be able to carry this knife off side, or next to the gun.

With the triceratops, South *dirt* will cower in fear. The pants will stay clean forever, except for the blood of your enemies. You wash those out with cold water...

*Edited for autocorrect fail.

Can't wait to play around with one of these.

The South will rise again! And if I ever needed to pull the Triceratops in self defense from a Northerner, blood red might not be the only additional color to my jeans. Definitely needing some cold water after that….

Lol... I didn't notice the autocorrect fail there... Edited.

To your point tho... 🤔 Not so sure what other color you're talking about... Creamy white?
