From the pictures I've seen of SOG's new Trident folder, it looks like moving the Arc-Lock while the blade is closed might move the blade out enough to trigger the assisted opening. Is this the case, or do you still need to open it with the thumbstud?
Thats an interesting question, on my SOG night vision when you pull the arc lock back it DOES push the blade out a little (about a centimeter or so, maybe a little more). I can't really answer your question though because I have never held a trident folder, but it is quite possible that it would open.
Yeah, that's pretty much the deciding factor for me. I've played around with a friend's Flash II, but using the thumbstud to trigger the assist just doesn't do it for me... I'm too spoiled by my Kershaws. If moving the arc lock will open the blade, I'll buy a Trident immediately.
