I was considering a Crusader Forge 'Metro Tactical' or 'VFo1' and sent an email asking some basic technical questions (no response, though probably insufficient time has passed to expect a response). Then I read this string. Background: I had some very marginal experiences with Strider (their SnG) so I am very sensitive regarding 'customer service' and 'quality control,' especially with pricey items like custom/near custom knives. Following Dave's experiences with Crusader, though it was over a year ago, I think that I'll forgo doing business with Crusader Forge. Purchasing a finely made knife should be a pleasurable experience. I don't need or want the angst of the possibility that the workmanship on a $500-plus knife is crappy (a $500 knife should be perfect - if it isn't it should not leave the shop) and then have to endure additional angst of trying to get satisfaction. All of this before even placing an order? No, I'll go elsewhere.
