I like carrying a fixed blade and also folders.
wonder if this could be an option. The 110 fits in this other knifes sheath very well.

Just testing it. I’m sure a nice proper fitting sheath to carry a 110 open in a sheath could be designed if it was desired to carry a folder like a fixed blade IJS?
Or is it like eating a snickers bar with a knife and fork? Ala Seinfeld?

Yes GPyro i like the open top style sheath for Buck 110/112’s but the idea was to carry them open like a fixed blade.

No I didn’t mean it that way. I like the open sheath style for a closed 110. Just reasoned a sheath i had for a fixed blade knife looked to be the right size for my 110 to carry in a opened condition. Wondered if anyone thought i was crazy to want to carry one like that?

IDhorace has the answer.

I have a Gerber Parabellum with a sheath that can carry the knife unfolded. I never saw a valid reason to carry it that way.

As much as I love110’s. They have compromises in their design to make them fold and lock. If I wanted to carry it open like a fixed blade then there are better options.

Agreed.
Sorta why I never purchased a 101.

I personally like that the open top design for fixed blade and in this case the 110 actually shows off your knife. Never was a big fan of the flap over sheath but then i would not hesitate to get one with the old Buck in it lol

ya could always get someone to make ya an open top sheath for 110...when they open their books back up😁........or find one from one of the makers who make and stock them.
