Tried this?

Lol. I saw a guy in Lowes with a fixed blade the length of a machete or at least longer than a 120. I only had my 4 inch Winkler Blue Ridge hunter at the time.
Come to think of it maybe it was a machete? There are lawn maintenance workers that shop at Lowes right?

For the record i ordered what looks like a nice open top brown leather sheath for my 110’s on the bay to carry folded. Looked like decent craftsmanship and i may attempt to make one myself after looking at it and going to YouTube sheath making school lol

That would be illegal here in California.
if it was exposed would it be illegal in Cali? meaning shirt tucked in and clearly visible?

You can carry a 120 on your belt up here but you'd better have a darn good reason for doing so.
up there outside of the big cities and suburbs id expect all Canadians would have a 120 on their belt.😁

Little off topic. I was exploring and in my profile i found some pm mesgs and one i never saw or just don’t remember from dec2019 from DM about i guess a picture from a pawn shop that had a knife ( steel master) in it he said he would pay me for if i bought and sent it to him? How did i miss that? I feel so bad and a bit choked up to be honest.

I tried this.
A Mora Number 1 or Buck 877 goes on the back, behind the 110/112, which is above the large stockman or Moose, or Sunfish. I thought having all three on my belt would be "a good thing."
Sadly, I left this sash sheath (and a bunch of other things) in my camper the one time I was able to go get things from it pre-Covids.

Sheaths on a belt rarely work for me. Even a 110 vertical. So if I have a need to belt carry, its one of the 110 nylon horizontal sheaths. Vertical are a pain dragging on the truck seats. Otherwise the truck and backpack are well stocked and never far from the hunting action, which is my major use of these knives.

Just my two centavos worth,,,

I dont understand why wife fusses when she finds one in the washing machine with my hunting clothes. Comes out nice and clean.

The last time I checked It's illegal to carry a folder in the opened position, as are those quickdraw sheaths that pull the 110 open as you draw it.

I could carry a 120 if I wanted, but make a sheath to carry my 305 lancer open and that's a no-no 🙄

Hadn’t thought about that. I pretty much gave up on the idea but good to know about some nonsense law.

thanks for explaining. has to be one of the dumbest laws ever written there. how's an open folder carried in a sheath worse than a fixed blade in a sheath? y'all put up with some nonsense there.

I always assumed it had to do with a potential loophole for places where fixed blades aren't allowed, " it's not a fixed blade officer, see it folds " because that's all that even remotely makes sense.
It's dumb, but I am glad the state knife laws are generally forgiving and there are no extra restrictions I'm aware of in my area.

Now back on topic, I've always thought the 110 was a great belt knife size.
Folding or otherwise and did many times contemplate getting a 101.
I even thought about trying my 110 open like this to see if I'd like a 101, and that's when I learned about the law.

even that reason is a stretch. I almost think some anti knife lobbyist group feared a folder was more dangerous already open and forgot about fixed blade knives. anyways yep we are getting too political, but not on purpose just blew my mind that law existed.

anyways the 101 i think is a good knife. was sad to see it go. i like the handful i have. it's weirdly useful even though a 110 is always nearby me.
