Wow! I'm in the same situation as Rolf or I'd be on this like a bad habit! You are definitely on my list for getting something. Really like your work a lot. Good luck on sale. :D

Beautiful work, that cleaver looks amazing. How does that titanium alloy hold an edge? Just wondering what the Rockwell is on it. Very interesting.

Seconds, just in case.
I'm sitting here playing with my Mission MPF-1 and alex451 beats me 15 minutes. :p

Thanks Zempaneli,

The titanium alloy holds a good edge for a knife, but in my opinion, the stuff I'm making is especially suited for a large chopping implement, which is my specialty! :D Rockwell hardness has varied over time as I tune in to this metal, with most between the mid 40s and HRc 51 on the hardest sword I was able to test before my diamond penetrator tip was damaged. The heat treatment has been improved since then. The numbers are misleading when it comes to a machete or sword, as the metal is very tough and can be used heavily and yet stay sharp and undamaged.

I will be sending two swords out for pro heat treatment soon, and I will have better answers then.

You do keep coming up with great blades. I've been watching.

You had a specimen slicer posted in May. :)

Thanks Esav, such nice comments are the antidote to the frustrations that can arise in titanium blade forging. I've made around 7 or 8 Specimen-type knives, all of them are a bit different!
