This last week I took a six day trip with some friends. We started at Crescent Meadow, taking two days to reach Hamilton Lake. As we got close, Hamilton Dome was pretty impressive:

Here are a few shots around Hamilton Lake:

On two consecutive days I did a day hike up to Kaweah Gap, and went down to the first lake in Nine Lakes Basin. This picture is looking back at Hamilton Lake from the trail above it:

We passed by Precipice Lake, which should be recognized by any fans of Ansel Adams:

This is looking at Eagle Scout Peak from close to Kaweah Gap:

And here is Black Kaweah from Kaweah Gap:

Nice! I've been there, but it's been a long time. The last time I was up there I went up Kaweah Gap, and then over Pants Pass. That was a fun little climb, right there!

the deep color and reflections of Precipice Lake have always amazed me. Hopefully you went up and over Pants Pass; the view is incredible. We laughed at pointed at Kaweah Gap, being way down there...

Those pics bring back some good memories!

Now for some pictures taken in Nine Lakes Basin, which, for me, was the highlight of the trip:

Very nice pics Lambertiana. Wish I was in shape to do a trip like that. Maybe next year.

I spotted this reflection in Hamilton Lake. Even with wide angle and the camera turned to vertical, I couldn't come close to capturing the peak plus the reflection, so you will have to settle for the reflection:

And this is the view from our campsite at Mehrten Creek on the way back out, looking at the peaks above Mineral King. The high point left of center is Sawtooth Peak; I usually try to summit it every year, but might not make it this year:

Absolutely stunning pictures! The juxtaposition between mountain and water never fails to mesmerize me. Thanks for sharing your adventure. This makes me want to travel west again!

All I can say is "breathtaking"; wow, beautiful shots! My wife was drooling over all the rocks to climb:D

I really don't have the words to describe your pictures. Suffice it to say, I saved every one to my 'Scenery' folder.
