Here's some pics from a recent trip to Chincoteague Island. Having a four month old and the weather like it is, it was hard to spend too much time out and about.

We were able to put some time in on the trail. This is the first time I've been to the island and it is absolutely beautiful. It's pretty cool seeing wild horses roaming around.

Here's some pics - Enjoy!

First pic has some horses way out there.

Here's one from looking out the front door of the house we stayed at. There were deer constantly walking through the front yard, it was pretty cool. My dog went crazy.

Nice pic's! It's always good to get out of the house, and you have to get myright jr started early:D

Yep! He's four months and counting. We get him out as much as we possibly can. I see too many kids be video game zombies these days.

Nice pictures. But that last one has got my mind all on BACKSTRAPS now! Where's my bow?

At one point there was a line of 5 does come walking right through the front yard. I only saw two bucks, one spike and one four pointer. It was pretty cool and the first time my dog has ever seen a deer so she didn't know what the heck to do :)

great pics... looks like a gorgeaous area...

Thanks Mike, it really is! It's not as remote as it looks since it's a big tourist area, but during the off season there was noone there. A friend of ours owns a house there so we pretty much stayed for free also.

Good time!

Yup - Assateague is just north of Chincoteague. The Coast Guard sign is on the wild life refuge adjacent to Chinc. island.

In one of the pictures there are wild horses way out in the distance.
