Well, since we had to post-pone the trip out to Colorado Bend State Park, the in-laws (Nanna and Pappa) were in town, so we decided to visit Enchanted Rock State Park southeast of us (we've never been there). Well, it was pretty remarkable (even from one who grew up around the Cascades)!
My wife and son have been doing a lot of indoor rock climbing, so they both had a blast bouldering and scrambling around. We about killed Nanna going up the side of the big dome and my wife and son and I climbed down the back witch was pretty rough and then hiked around to Turkey Peak and climbed up for the great view! I was very proud of my son (and my wife) for how well they did...some places were pretty tough...
We'll be back again for some camping and more bouldering...what a great place...
