As the title says. Have some extra Christmas cash to spend in Florida and wouldn't mind a new blade. Any stores of recommendation? I will be near Orlando.

Sadly no. I live in the area and the best we've got is bass pro which carries a few benchmades and kershaws all overpriced. And ALS army navy which stocks some spydercos but also pretty overpriced.

I enjoyed going to Randall Made Knives. A little off the beaten path, but nice to look around. You won't come home with a knife (unless it's a steak knife), but it's worth the time.

Agree with cheesy chung. Slim pickins and very pricey. I'm in a neighboring county to orlando and orange county, so there could be a store(s) I don't know about though.

In lake county in a small town called umatilla is ruffs saddle shop, which is what it sounds like, but last time I was out there they had a nice largish selection of knives. Better selection and stock than that crap bass pro on I -drive. If that's your thing though there is also a gander mountain store in lake mary in the county north called seminole. This all requires a bit of driving though.

That said its been a brutual economy down here from the building boom bust. I know bass pro and gander are still open....not sure about ruffs? I assume it is, but look 'em up online and call before you drive the county over.

Also take the time to visit randalls museum. Its worth the trip, imho.

Welcome to florida, btw.

Thanks for the recommendations. We have bass pro right by me as well. It's a great store but their knives are over priced and usually not great. What is there to see at randal knives museum?

The randall museum is what it sounds like a mesuem of knives. like 5000+ knives. some swords and other stuff. its not just all randall models either. awesome to see if you like knives and randalls at all. have fun and make sure to spend lots of that canadian cash down here. we need it.:)
