Are you rating the knife or the service? Who's quality was "just so so"? Did you contact Patrick and explain the problem, or is this just a "I didn't like the knife, but didn't do anything about it" type of post?

I have nothing but the best to say about Patrick, his products and his service!

I just received a nice order from him. I didn't like the two Delta Windmill lighters because they were bigger than I thought they would be. My mistake. He NEXT DAY AIRed the standard Windmills (I like them very much) before he had received the Deltas I was returning! And, it was a PAYPAL deal, so he didn't have any credit card protection if I didn't send back the other lighters.

That is far from "so so" service in my book!

please feel free to return the colt gravity knife for a refund. you may simply drop it in the mail and send it back. the knife itself is a low cost knife made in germany for their FALLSCHIRMTRUPPE; a simple issue duty knife for about 60 bucks.

. It was at my house yesterday and I ordered late last week. It would be way too easy to be a high volume repeat customer with these folks.

I know that the gravity knife is a less expensive item, but if they can take every order seriously. I think a striped srcew and scratch may not make you happy, so how can I expect from them!

Sounds like you got a good and honest answer erlkonig.
After spending more than $1000 in orders with them, with another $1400 on order, 7 knives in total, I have not had any problems, nor needed to return any items. Quality and service/response time is exceptional including the fact that my orders require special handling due to living overseas.
I have only one gripe with TAD...I wish they would stop posting such awesome quality and desirable items on their "whats new" URL. I am going broke and almost every time I check on it (I now have an auto function set to check that URL every day) I see something else I "just gotta have".
Go on vacation for a while Patrick, let my wallet recover
