Tripod for DSLR-Seeking options

Never heard of POTN. I'm one of these people that once I make a decision I go with it. It is not the end of the world. I do think that I will be picking up a medium strength Manfrotto ball head for the tripod. I've gotten kind of used to using them. But it is not an emergency and I will take my time on that as well as a general search on professional grade tripods that fit my general needs. I am going to tuck the address of the Nashville Sirui dealer in my wallet and the next time I am passing through during business hours, stop by.
 
POTN = Photography-on-the-net. A forum, much like this, but BIIG. I've seen lenses sell in minutes of being posted. All sorts of gear pops up from time to time, too. Worth taking a look at, especially if you're taking your time.
