aardy - you made a good point, one that not many here would really disagree with.
However, usually, when I see the jerk-it smilie, I drop the thread right there and go elsewhere in the forum. There is too much interesting info to look at than look at jerk-its, and read the attitudes that go along with them. That's just my opinion.
I made a point to Blues earlier today that this is the only forum that I participate in right now, and this forum has been, and is, the only forum where I'll let my son sit with me and look at knives, dogs and hunting. (He loves boy scout knives and SAK's, and, well, dogs and hunting.

) This is a direct result of how well the mods do their job, and I appreciate it. When they do have to warn someone, it's usually well deserved.
I do lurk and post occasionally in W&C -
not when my son is with me, of course - which in my opinion, is the only place for jerk-its.
