  • Today marks the 24th anniversary of 9/11. I pray that this nation does not forget the loss of lives from this horrible event. Yesterday conservative commentator Charlie Kirk was murdered, and I worry about what is to come. Please love one another and your family in these trying times - Spark

Trophy Room - Hunting and Fishing Pics

I can't see the pictures chiral, but I'm glad you've got you a meat-cutting buddy. Mine is in her freshman year of college and I sure miss her, especially this time of year.

Chiral - you've got some good children. Sounds like the whole family pitched in.
Dave - you've got one cool Mom! Hang onto that memory.

My Mom, southern cook from WV, could cook the he'll out of a deer steak, but she wouldn't eat it. Said it tasted too gamey/wild for her. She'd fix herself a mess of chicken livers and onions when Dad and I had deer steak and fried potatoes with hot peppers in them. Oh, and a loaf of fresh baked bread or cornbread fixed in a cast iron skillet. She had a skillet that was seasoned for corn bread and nothing else.

We caught a bunch of stripers, spot, croaker, perch, bullhead (aka channel) and blue catfish, blue crabs and even a toutog on the Potomac and Chesapeake this Spring, Summer and Fall. I'll post 'em when I can find another picture hosting site. Unfortunately no dove, geese or ducks this year...didn't have the time.
