It is difficult to know the truth of any situation. Whenever I ask Yangdu about this, I inevitablly hear of the 'rebels' killing good people for no reason. But when I read the press accounts, I see the King has suspended civil rights. That's the direction of the reporting.

So the whole thing is a mess. The Maoists are feared and are terrorists, and their excuse is the King is a Despot.

There's only a couple spots on earth more tangled than this one.

Too true Munk. I've tried to follow the situation, but it seems muddled and confusing. Must send some smoke up for Nepal. I hope the Kamis are OK. More smoke for Kumar by the way. Any news yet?????????????
