I am about to pull the trigger on yet another Spyderco, my last being a Military, my first. I have 3 in mind, XHp Military, M4 Manix or the new Lum Tanto. They all seem very desirable to me, still haven't read too much on Carpenters/SPy latest steel. Is the M4 in the Manix a workhorse? i hate that the liner lock on the Lum isn't jimped.. love the blade profile. I'm leaning towards the Manix. It will be my first, always disregarded this knife because of its lock.
p.s. next month ill be looking at these next round of Sprints that we wont see till next year.

congrats!, i just got married last September, still trying to convince my wife why i need more Spydercos.. birthdays, xmas, and a "new summer" knife take so long to come around again

Manix. It is the oldest and so will probably be the hardest find shortly. Plus it's a Manix. :D The Military and Lum are good, but not that good. I'd take M4 over VG-10 and XHP any day.

I just ordered my first Manix today. It's the one with the Carpenter steel. It's also FFG, I was going to order the M4 version but I like my folders to have a stainless steel. Any of those listed will be great additions, the Lum is the only one you can't buy a regular version whenever you want, so if you like that one you might as well get it, there will be more sprint militaries and Manixes in the future, another Lum Tanto seems less likely.

I was under the impression the M4 Manix2 was going to be limited production, not exactly Sprint run status.
