Trouble with Andale Store

Yes, I noticed that they changed the Store Manager. From what I could see, it's Andale that screwed up the site. There wasn't anything I could do to repair the links - they are generated automatically by Andale's software.

Those that are getting in the site are probably accessing "cached" versions of the site - not the new one. I keep my cache clean for that very reason. I'm not sure there's anything to do except write off the weekend. Andale is probably getting hammered with calls today...

Thanks for trying, Pen. If BF can't get it fixed which seems doubtful from what you say I'll keep trying to call and/or email them until I can get thru. I'm sick of these sites like Andale and Smoothsale and am open to moving to something better and much more dependable. Any suggestions?
 
for me, the direct links from the individual items at the HI webpage at http://www.himalayan-imports.com - for instance, the 12 in ang khola

but I see that from the main andale page, clicking on the subcategories for the shop doesn't work. yes, as pen says, it looks like andale re-arranged their system again. remember something like this happened before, but it's not the same re-ordering as before it seems...

for other alternatives, our web-host (the HI webhost), seems to have two built-in shopping baskets available, Interchange Shopping Cart and Agora Shopping Cart. But I know very little about setting up shopping baskets or how it would work to instal these onsite. maybe Burafan or Pen might know more
 
Fix is permanent.

Once ya been converted to a steer, tain't never gonna be a bull again!

Give FrontPage a shot. It is simple, reliable and best of all *you* control what gets upgraded. I have been using it since 98 with no problems. I could get you a copy MS Office Pro at the Microsoft company store for $60. Comes with FrontPage, Excel, Word, PowerPoint and i think Outlook as well.

Bill..is this bad memory, or did you switch site carriers/promoters just a couple years ago? I thought they were guilty of the things Andale is now.

Your memory serves you right, Munk. I was with Smoothsale and one day they just disappeared from the net. I then constructed the new store which you see is not working at present. Andale has a history of "upgrading" which always leads to these kinds of tech problems. I am ready to move again when I get back to Reno.
 
Having your shopping site down during the Christmas sales season is not a good thing. I don't know how these things work. Seems like Andale should be busting a gut to get it right.
