Got the latest batch back from Tru Grit today. The AEB-L steak knives are 1/16" thick and still came back nice and flat.
That yanagiba is 26C3, and I asked Jeff to surface grind it for me to ensure flatness. The surface grinder finish looks good, and it's definitely flat and true
Hopefully this is the standard going forward, and the first cluster F* was a fluke. Based on this batch though. I'll continue to do business with Jeff.
