was just in the southern california area and thought I'd stop by Tru-grit in rancho cucamonga and maybe pick up a few things. I got there late and thought I'd be rushed, but far from it. The guys walked me all around the back and took the time to explain why a certain belt was what i was looking for and why others might not be right for me. So much to that end that Jeff Mutz (a very good maker himself) took the time to mount a few of the belts and show me the finish they gave compared to others. The guys ended up staying open for 45 minutes after closing so i could take my time and not be rushed and I can't say enough about their customer service. Before leaving california I went back to see them but was stuck in traffic and was going to be late again, so i called them... again they said "don't worry about it" and waited for me to come pick up my belts on a friday night. All in all the guys there made it a great experience to shop with them.
P.S. i was there for work, so i was trying to make it after i was off for the day... i wasn't intentionally trying to test their patients.
cheers
