Tru-Sharp Case/Bose collaborationss

Wow!! Ask a hard question and get a "Great" answer, thank you for answering my question A. G. I thought it might be something of the sort but also thought that the low number of the oyster shell models was the real reason for the high price, almost an intentional low supply & demand marketing attempt to jack up prices..

Thanks for setting the record straight and shutting up my whining...:)

Is the higher pricing on pearl and abalone in todays market on all sizes are just mainly the bigger slabs..?

all pearl is expensive today, but, the larger it is the price rises geometricly (?)

almost all pearl is farmed today and hardly anyone is willing to wait for the shell to get that big.

Well I can't let this topic end yet...Especially when I just got these three "Beauty's" in the mail today. Here are the Dog Leg Jack editions...:)
A special thanks to 2toes for contacting me about this set...

Wow! Very nice. I just got my whittler and really like it, but now you've got me eying the dogleg jacks!

AG Russell will soon have peal and abalone versions of the new swing guard , they are pricey, but look lke they are worth every penny. They currently have the stag and antique bone in stock and are expecting the others soon. That swing guard looks stout!

I picked up a brown bone swing guard today. It has to be the largest collaboration knife to date. It is very stout, and seems to be up to the task for most jobs. Blade is 1" wide, 4 3/8"ths long, OAL is 9 5/8"ths. I love the huge old style shield. Well done, as you would expect.

Sunburst and Joe,

Thanks for posting the pics of the Collabs. I have the stag dogleg, and really like it..and am waiting for my Ebony Swing guard. Now that I have picts of it, I can't wait. It will be fun to carry a knife that will "fill your hand"!

Been carrying the lockback whittler, and that it very sweet too !

Wow! Very nice. Did you get it from A.G.?

No, I purchased it at a cutlery retail store. I have not encountered any nicer production folders. These Case/Bose collabortations are really something. Case knew what they were doing when they teamed up with Tony for this line in 1999.

i received my Case/Bose Yukon Jack a couple of weeks ago. as everyone says, the fine fit and finish is immediately apparent. i have hands on the small side and find that the "peak" in the handle on the liner side pushes into the center of my 3rd digit, unless i short shank it. i have a Schrade 125OT, same size, "similar" shape, except "peak" is closer to butt end, and it fits my hand well. also the edges of the bone scales have not been rounded (part of the overall look or eye appeal i presume) and with firm pressure they bite into the hand a little.
none of this is a slight against the knife. my reason for posting is: i really like the look of the new swing guard lockback. is there someone with not large hands who owns both of these knives and could comment about their relative fit in the hand ? roland
