I usually have a lot more in the truck when I am in the woods...but I want something small too for those times when I have all four of us in the truck. I am thinking about putting a tool box or a shell on the truck but usually those are the first to be hit by thieves so I try not to appear too inviting.

I know what you mean. When I lived in the next county and drove across the mountain to work every day I had to carry a chainsaw because trees fell across the road so often and I was always among the first people across in the morning.
