We've done this before, but it's never a bad time to post pictures!

I don't have a "truck knife", I just like seeing pictures of knives that have had their share of hot suppers. Even if your truck knife is a part of your tool kit, and cared for appropriately, share some photos.

I don't have any pics handy, but when I drove my truck as a daily driver it was chock full of blades (it's still my vehicle back home in Florida but stayed there when I moved to the PNW). Off the top of my head there was a BK9, BK3, Spyderco Warrior, ESEE 6, a few different types of machetes, a couple of folding saws, a folder or two just in case, Swisstool, the 111mm SAK Rescue Tool, and certainly a couple others that I'm forgetting. It's kinda like those "entire collection pic" threads, there's no way I could easily gather all the knives I have stashed in various places for a group shot. Since some are also mentioning truck "sticks", it was an IWI Galil Ace, with an Hk45c close at hand.

But since the thread did request photos, while not my "truck knives", I do have one pic of my truck with knives.

Was in my truck this morning, to go get groceries. Does that count.

My truck knife is a CS serrated Vaquero Grande that I got at the Alameda flea market while driving a rickety box truck with a million dollars of antique brass and copper to shows from coast to coast.

You mean - pickup truck ?
Or 18th wheeler ??

I saw this thread title and immediately got a bit embarrassed.

I have a bag full of choppers in the back seat, a glovebox full of fixed blades, a machete under each seat, and a tool box in the back with a couple of axes.

Plus my pocket EDC(s).

It is ridiculous.

Pfff you should be embarrassed not to have that. ;)

So buy ANY knife :^D

Well, yeah, you could.

This may be something that only exists in my head, or other people know it by different names, though 91Bravo seems to be thinking the same way.

The "truck knife" is an all-purpose (cutting) tool that gets used for jobs that are beyond the reach of your pocket knife. It also gets used sometimes where another tool may be more appropriate, but you don't feel like digging around behind the seat or in the lock box to find it, so you struggle, instead.

The premise is thin, I agree: the only reason this particular knife is different is because it's the one you keep in the vehicle.
