All of these pieces are grails on one level or another and all are battle-worthy blades.
First I am offering a VERY rare piece. It is a limited edition mid-size Katana sword, hand made and individually numbered, by the now deceased master swordmaker Jody Samson. This piece is number 6 of 10 ever, and ever to be made. I does not come with a scabbard (it never came with one). It does come with its original signed by Jody and dated may 21, 2007 COA. This piece has never been used, carried, or sharpened since its making. It has been stored in a safe the entirety of its life. Any "flaws" one may see on the blade are how it was received from Mr. Samson. This piece is hollow ground and also has a beautiful tsuba and kashira. It measures approx. 32'' overall in length, 22'' blade, 5/16'' stock. I am not certain of the steel used in this piece, but to my knowledge Jody typically worked in 1075 steel.
Given the absolute rarity of this piece and legendary name behind it, I am beginning with an asking price of: $SOLD
Next I have two Dawson Gladius custom swords. I am not the original owner. Both were made by Barry himself, back before he turned his shop over to his Family. Both are numbered 001. Both have been sharpened and used since being made and show as such. Both come with their original simple leather scabbards that have since had custom made frogs added to them. Both feature desert ironwood handles with mosaic pins and a lanyard hole in the handle. And both have, to my knowledge, been made with 5160 carbon steel with a black/grey coating.
The shorter Gladius measures approx. 21.5'' overall, 15.25'' blade, 1/4'' stock. I do notice a hairline crack on one side of the handle near the base as well as a small nick out of the wood near the guard. As many know, ironwood is very beautiful but also known for its proneness to crack. Everything feels solid on this piece.

The longer Gladius (has more of a wasp shape blade) measures approx. 22.25'' overall, 15.75'' blade, 1/4'' stock. I do not personally see any cracks or chips in the handle of this one.

Next up is a very nice vintage F-S style dagger made by Mr. Bill Keeton. It comes in its original Keeton zip pouch, along with a beautiful Jim Layton black leather sheath. This knife I received from another collector in its current, as pictured, condition. I believe it has been sharpened since the maker and lightly carried. One side of the knife is Keeton logo stamped and the other side is stamped "458".

This model was based on the Fairbairn-Sykes commando knife of World War II and was featured on the cover of the Combat Knives magazine in 1998. Here is what they had to say:
"Compared with the original Fairbairn-Sykes, the Keeton knife has been improved by a substantial ricasso that strengthens the blade at the hilt or guard. The guard itself is thicker—not so much for strength as a parrying aid, but to aid in identifying the position of the knife in the hand as well as adding weight for balance.
The handle has been made more slender with a gentle contour that's easy to grasp and shifts the weight of the knife from the handle of the original into the blade. Fittings of ... [the] guard and butt add to the glamour of the knife. The grind, polish and fit are immaculate."

I ACQUIRED IT DIRECT FROM REESE WEILAND WHOM HAD RECEIVED IT BACK INTO HIS POSSESSION FROM THE KNIFE’S PREVIOUS OWNER VIA A TRADE FOR ANOTHER OF HIS (REESE’S) KNIVES. WHILE IN HIS POSSESSION, MR. WEILAND GAVE THE KNIFE A SPA TREATMENT WHICH INCLUDED REFLAMING THE TITANIUM HANDLE AND UPDATING THE PIVOT SCREW. AFTER WHICH, I PURCHASED THE KNIFE FROM REESE. I HAD MIKE BRICKMAN, WHOM IS A LOCAL KNIFEMAKER AND FRIEND, MAKE THE HEAVY-DUTY LEATHER BELT SHEATH FOR IT - WHICH IS INCLUDED IN THE SALE OF THIS KNIFE.
TAKEN FROM WINDY CITY KNIVES: "In late 2012, Reese Weiland and John Fitzen collaborated on a folding Crossada knife. The Crossada Fighting Knife was designed by Master At Arms, James Albert Keating, a world renowned expert in the use of defensive edged weapons. The Crossada was essentially a Bowie knife, with “hooks” for the guard, and designed to catch your “opponents” blade in a knife fight. The Crossada folder collaboration knives were designed by John, and handmade and hand ground by Reese. There were a limited number of these made - we believe only 20 were handmade. They were massive folders, that functioned like a fixed blade when opened.
Some of these knives made by John had top-and-bottom crossadas, and some had a bottom crossada only. This particular knife is a…modification of their folding Crossada, having no crossadas. Reese made this beast a bit more manageable to handle, by not having the width of the crossadas at the top of the handle…"
