True Temper True American

Just got off the phone with customer service - the entire axe line is fully made in USA -

Didn't know about the hardness of the axe heads - but is calling me back.

I asked about the True American name - told them that was a Mann Edge line, bought out by Truper - so Truper should own it - if they then bought it off of Truper - nice lady stated she doubted there was any issues - or else Truper would be all over them - they are our only competition.

Interesting. If I get a call back I will let everyone know.

Mike, all the axe lines are made in USA or the entire True American line is fully made in USA?

Way to git'r done.

True American is an old Mann Edge line...

Here's an example from Operator1975:

Ok got off the phone again with customer service - entire line is made in USA out of Falls City NB like Steve said - they come sharpened and ready to go. No sheath. No RC hardness yet - calling me back with that.

Interesting they own the patent name - I bet all the old patent names fell off and are available now - wonder who is going to bring back LEGITIMUS?

Barco still makes a cruiser axe in the USA:

I have been looking for a good cruiser size axe to review for some time now, and I finally found one that was worth the money. It is the Kelly Woodslasher, currently being produced by Barco Industries, who have owned the Kelly brands since 1987.

Nice job, Steve. I was looking for that, but couldn't find it....I was looking for a BAHCO.

Good info! Also, a trademark is only as good as the lawyer you pay to defend it.
