Damn, I was expecting you to pull out an rpg after that kevlar! Good informative vid. Thanks man

I figure this is the bare minimum.

I just purchased AR500 plates for both vests. I feel slightly more at ease now.

The extra vest for a potential passenger is a cool idea! Shows a bit of community spirit.

You need..

.More water, definitely. Buy a load of those 4 litre bottles with the carry handles near the cap!
.A jerry can full of fuel. Never know how far you'll need to drive, and if it goes sour, those bastards will cut the fuel for sure.
.Gas mask/s. If you're gona shot at, you're probably gona get smoked or gassed too.
.Better organised gear! Buy a holdall kit bag and get it tidy, so for whatever the need, you won't have to rummage like an old lady with a brim filled handbag. ;)
.Spray paint. Because.. you know.. might need to paint a winky on a wall or something. Or an SOS etc.
.Torch/flashlight. No brainer, gotta be able to see if you're getting shot at and need somewhere to hide.
.Flare gun. Again, great signal device if you get lost/crashed or whatever. Plenty of conversions for them too, if you know what I mean.
.A few rolls of duct/gorilla tape. Because you can never be without the ability to stick stuff together in a hurry!

I'll add more when my brain kicks in gear or the whiskey runs out.. which ever comes first. :D

Turbo torch and mapp gas. 1.75 liter liquor.

I'm an alcoholic... and a meth addict. Those 2 items would feel plain wrong, LOL.

I stopped smoking over a month ago but I still have a cigarette inventory of 3 cartons and a pound of rolling tobacco. I keep em at home next to my stockpile of MREs. Maybe when I get my 2 years chip, I might be comfortable keeping a handle of cheap vodka in my stockpile. It helps that vodka is my least favorite alcohol. Every time I drink it, I always become an emotional wreck over stuff that happened in Iraq.

Tequila is my pizon. I'll end up drinking a bottle to the dome and knock on doors I should leave be.

Use boxes not bags. Water and MRE are better stored in a cooler even cheap styrofoam. Folding shovel, large BK-7 type knife ,rope ,tool kit.
You coul.d minimise the stuff if you drove an ALFA Romeo 4C as that has a miniscule trunk LOL !

Just purchased:

2 will go in the car... 2 stay at home.

I'm buying a Styrofoam beer cooler to store the water, rations, and gas masks in the trunk.

I mostly carry med equipment in the back of my truck, aside from recovery gear for the truck. Add a few stripped MRe's and a case of water some extra ammo and a belt knife. I've used my kit several times at wrecks to stabilize until EMT's could get there.

Do you guys think all that stuff will stay good locked in a hot trunk? Most rubber, pressurized items, gas, MRE's, etc., have an excellent chance of deteriorating under extended heat, and the inside of a trunk can get damned hot. Just a thought.
