Bought a ZT blu Bowie from a guy and he assured me it was bnib/ mint... I wasn't home and my gf opened it up for me a described it to me as she opened it.( It was not damaged..no way no how in shipping as it was packaged very well) .. it had a scratch on handle and had modeling / wear around clip on anodizing. .. needless to say when I confronted him about it he got very defensive and started saying she scratched it and went on to say I changed scales...lol... That really pissed me off... He had to have known it was scratched and wear on anodizing. I'm gonna have to start getting a third party involved at packing and shipping. He did agree to take knife back and return my money...but after I couldn't trust him to send what he said.. I'm damn sure not gonna trust him to send me my money after I send back knife. We had been chatting for a while and seemed trustworthy... What pissed me off was he screwed me and blamed me for it. You can't trust anyone one anymore .. especially Kevin Kirkwood

No... I was doing him a favor on f&f... Not again
If the transaction was done here, and his reputation is overall good, I would still do the exchange. I suggest you both end the accusations(at least for now-they just make coming to a rational solution harder) and work this out calmly. Mistakes(in description happen) and you just need to work out a solution to put things right again.
You may want to read the PP discussion sticky-it will give you an idea of how many members view the use of F&F on transactions

Smh another I did the guy a favor and did F&F and got a item not disclosed. Seller got mad and blamed buyer. My god the song never changes just the singers. To the op you screwed your self and if I was you I wouldn't think of sending that knife back until you had your money.

How is it a favour to the seller to pay F&F?

Just pay the little bit of extra and use G&S. The little bit of extra $ for G&S IS the favour. Putting yourself in a vulnerable position is not a favour, it is stupid. At this point you have to hope the guy does you a favour and returns the money.

To me this is the equivilent of buying a bag of weed in a city you are not familliar with through the "just give me the money, wait here, and I will be right back" method.

I think what he means is that a seller will set a price which is supposed to include fees per Paypal's TOS, then ask a buyer to use F&F to save them those fees. So many buyers don't understand the risk here, or think "This guy is cool, I can trust him. I'll be cool and save him the fees".
