Try to be quiet in church....

There is a great teaching moment here. Teach him how to open the knife very quietly. Oh yeah and mention that opening it during church with a loud thwak in not appropriate behavior.

you know the sheeple jumped out of thier pews when the heard that TWAK!! LOL i would of just smile and SMH

Church is a great place to hear the normal noises of life amplified at the most awkward times. A tube of lotion that is almost empty gives a great faux fart noise especially when the squeezer was not expecting to make the noise, little people burping, old people trying to keep their dentures in, the occasional snore/snort, cellophane candy wrappers, a dropped coin rolling forward on a sloping wood floor, kids whispering at 40 decibels and an even a knife click now and then. I am glad when there are the noises of life in a place of worship and people don't get their sphincters all bunched up, it means there are some real people there.
Respect to all with your own thoughts on the topic of faith.

I am so entertained that you said spyincter and worship in the same sentence. Well done!! It's always bothered me when people that go to church get all uptight about life happening. Meh. Different folks I spose.

Thanks for all the replies, I appreciate the range of responses. Good times. For what it's worth, my congregation has pigeonholed me the "gun" guy, so any questions about firearms seem to be directed to me during the social times. There's a lot of folks out there who know more than me about guns, but Ive managed to compete for years and years in 3 gun, idpa, and uspsa, so when friends find out, blah blah blah.
So for me to have a knife in church also, well, its not such a stretch. Letting my good boy see it, well, I halfway knew he'd open it, I just didn't count on it being so loud!

Personally, I'd be having a long talk with my kid about whipping open a blade like that. Then again, I wouldn't hand him the blade in the first place. Not in church, at the very least.

 Do you have kids? I do, and your response sounds like someone who has never dealt with a rambunctious child before.

We trade and show knives after church and before sunday school.............Sometimes concealed guns as well....Very common in my church......carl
