Trying something different

Okay. I’m all about simplicity.
But I do think a textured handle has its place.

Trying to see what type of texturing I’d like to do and landed on this today with some help from the folks at Primitive Woodsman Shop.

I do like it gives the simple blade and handle a visual element otherwise not there.

Generally I’m a smoothie kind of guy but that looks pretty good Brian, not quite the usual “Anso” style texturing

Yeah. I like the Anso pattern but I felt like I wanted to do something just a little differently.

This is the pattern I really felt like texturing would add in a control factor.
Utility/hunting/close quarter pattern.

Never been a big fan of these types of handles myself but other people seem to like them. Had a similar one on a medium sized knife and it was hot spot city but it does make more sense on a smaller knife.

You nailed it for me. Giving something small and presentable in your pocket. Adding some textile grip to those small ones.
