Trying to decide...

Yup a peanut will do whatever you need a knife to do, nice little knives, I have a couple and you won't be sorry for buying one, they are gems. That said, I like a little bit bigger knife too. 3.5" stockman or whittler does it, and never prints enough to bother with in my nice pants when I have occasion to dress up. Your mileage may vary depending in your size, preference in clothes, etc.

Not sure if this is what you had in mind when you said a photo in hand open, but here's my good old yellow peanut in my hand. I carried this peanut for years as my EDC. It never let me down. I have recently discovered the wonders of the Baby Butterbean pattern. I really like the feel of it both in hand and in pocket more than the peanut. The only thing I can think of that makes the peanut more functional than the butterbean would be as a manicure tool. Hard to get the fat blades of the butterbean under a nail. Check them both out at your local hardware store.

Good photo GG. It looks like you have a pretty good three finger grip on the knife. Good enough for most chores. What size glove to you wear?

Peanut is a fine user, as the pix show!

You might consider the CASE Pen-Knife which is slimmer but a good bit longer than the Peanut. The Half Whittler offers an alternative too.But I'd go for a Medium Stockman as it's serpentine, has rounded bolsters and 3 blades but is compact and none too heavy either. You might want to look into a small lockback as well......

3 finger grip is all I can do (I lost 1 to frostbite). Unfortunately I can no longer do ze french hello/goodbye no more. The peanut is "totally- otally awesome".

I've got hands like a gorilla on steroids and the peanut works just fine for me. it's actually not as small a knife as you would think but it is definitely sheeple friendly. if you want to move down a notch try an uncle henry 807 a teeny stockman.

One that is often over looked as a dress EDC is the Case Toothpick, small but nice blade length...shown with a Morgan Silver Dollar and in my hand...

Pattern # 024 is, I think the next size up from a peanut, and the 1/8" is noticeable.
"This knife is a 3" jack knife that most collectors call a regular jack or bare-head jack knife. They were produced as both a single-bladed and double-bladed knife. The single-bladed version has a clip blade, and most two blade versions have a clip master blade and a pen secondary blade. I don't believe that any of them have rear bolsters, or shields. Case has produced this knife from sometime prior to1940 to the late 60's. The handle material used on them includes bone and yellow composition." AAPK.com

Indeed, is that some popcorn stag on that little guy? Nice bunch!

It is one in the line of a few knife patterns that Case calls Prime XX Stag. Nice stag with no Case shield on the scales, just a Case logo etch on one of the bolsters. As i understand it, this line is exclusive from Shepherd Hills Cutlery.

I mostly carry a small Queen stockman in D2.
It is 3 1/4, which is a good size to hold.

The environment I work in is very conservative to knives.
And I get lots of nice comments about how sweet it is!
