Go custom. Snap 3/8 inch off of a used 710 blade and reprofile.

Proper handle length with blade length desired.

Anything from BM with the axis is a solid choice. The quality is top dog in that price range.

Manix, Chinook, UK Pen Knife, Dodo, Ocelot, nearly all Benchmades.
Tim Wegner's folders are also very nice, and don't use liner locks.

If you can find a G-10 Spyderco Native, that one is about perfect in size, and shape. Not too easy to find, though.

Ooops, I made a mistake, the slabs are made from Zytel, the information can be found on SOG's website. Sorry ginshun. BTW I played with one X-Rey Vision in a local knifeshop, and the zytel on the Sog was indistuingishable from G10.

I like some of the suggestions yes. I've still not picked anything. I just cannot seem to find the "perfect" knife. I'm sure we all have this problem?

I'm still not sure what I want. I really want the HK 14210 but it's out of stock everywhere. I'm thinking it may be the perfect 3" G10 folder.

How about the Spyderco UKPK? It IS G-10 and has an S30V blade, and it is a slip joint. I own one, and it IS a fantastic knife!
