Trying to find a review of knife steels

I enjoy reading Ankerson's review and remeber having another review booked marked once and can't find it. I swear years ago there was a thread comparing many steels including SR101. I remember the author was a member I respect much like Ankerson. I have looked and can't find the thread. Any thoughts on what threads here compare steels and rank their performance?

You might be thinking of Cliff Stamp...a well-known steel guy...similar to Ankerson. You can do a Search for his name...

You might be thinking of Cliff Stamp...a well-known steel guy...similar to Ankerson. You can do a Search for his name...

Cliff Stamp is banned here. The only way that he is like Ankerson is that he also tests steel. Ankerson is courteous and approachable. Cliff not so much.

there have been several lists like that done, some here, some on other forums. I want to point out that you can also find tests that show that blade grind, blade thickness, heat treat, and edge angle have more impact on performance than the brand name of blade steel you are using.
