As a newbie, we want to welcome you to the BladeForums, and I highly reccomend this knife. I have the serrated Native, and my plain edge should be here in 2 or 3 days. It is well made, and stout 3" blade.Being 440-V steel is very sharp,as I along with someone else who posted, has already been initiated by a slight cut.
Excellent knife for the money. But if you buy, make sure you get the BF Native so you can get the 440-V steel. You won't regret it.

Welcome MSW! I totally agree with Larry. GET THIS KNIFE! You'll enjoy how well it cuts, stays sharp, and is pretty! Besides you'll be helping this great forum to survive.

I just want to say that you can't beat these BladeForum deals. It's like making a donation except you get a great knife for doing so. I've almost ordered every knife put up for sale in the BF store. It's my way of saying "thanks" to a forum that has brought me so much pleasure. Ya' can't beat it!
 
MSW, go for the BF Native, I have one and its beautiful. Then go for a Spydie Military, it's also CPM440V and an equally wonderful knife.
