trying to find some history on a case knife

I have in my possesion a knife marked CASE XX usa on the tang and on the reverse 223-5 mirror finish blade maybe 4.5 to 5 inch blade black handle with 2 silver spacers. can anybody tell me when this was made and any information you may have on it?
 
They were made from the late 60's through the late 80's, the blade is actually a chrome finished high carbon blade.
