Morning Everyone!

Over the weekend, I was surfing around on the net and found a site/software that allows you to build photo albums and post them (up to 30 MB total) for others to view. I've not posted many photo/tutorials because of the large files and storage costs, but with this I can at least post some photos and maybe help some understand how I accomplish certain things. I posted photos of my truck as a test run, and then posted a small album with phots of how I constructed the last Frame Handled Bowie I created. My next project will be posting an album on how to wire a foot switch to the Beaumont disc grinder...hopefully I will have that up this week.

You can view the albums at: http://edcaffreyms.jalbum.net/

The software and up to 30MB of space are free....and the software is really easy to use. Thought others might find it useful too.

If anyone knows of other sites that offer free web albums and image hosting, I'd like to know about them....I suspect that once I get going that free 30MB will be gone quickly.

After you upload your photos to the album, is there a function that informs you of your storage amount? Your balance? Sort of a running total of space you have used?
That looks great, Ed.
Thanks.

Karl,

All I saw was a message that pops up whenever your uploading an album, stating how big the album is (in MBs) and telling you how much space you have left.

My assumption is that when you "create" the album with the software, it must resize all the images, because some of those images of my truck were 2-3 Mb sized images, and the total size of the album, when done was only 1.3 mb. I was fishing for other sites from people because I can see filling that one up....and if there are other free hosting services, I might have to use two or three of them to keep putting up images. :D

Gotcha.
It must re-size them as they are all 800 X ?? varying dimensions.
Cool idea, though, and I'm glad you showed it.
Thanks.

There are numerous photo hosting sites on the net. Photobucket.com ,flickr.com , etc. A quick google search of "free photo hosting" will net you a bunch of sites that you can use.

I usually use photobucket, and I find that if you use it and keep it updated fairly frequently, your photos don't "mysteriously disappear" from threads you post them in.
