May sound funny but I bought this from HI several years ago, and cant remember anything at all about it. Cant remember what model it was, cant remember how much I paid for it. I'm mainly just wanting to know what the price was. Anyone happen to know exactly what model this is? Quarter in the picture for size comparison.

Hmm. A rough guess based on the quarter puts it at about 10". The Biltons are about 9" and usually not so fancy. There are smaller and less dressed-up Dhankutas out there. (I know- I've got one. :D) The normal length is about 12" IIRC -but I don't know if this is one of them.

Great-looking Khuk, whatever it is. :)

At first I was thinking it was a bilton too. But the website doesnt show that sheath for the biltons. And, I seem to remember paying closer to $100 for this. Maybe it's discontinued?

I have one as near identical to that as Khukuries can be.
There is an unusual white metal hump on the back of the scabbard.
there was no chakma or karda, nor were there ever.
Skyler R. is absolutely correct.

It's silver, and I'm not sure what the hump on the other side of the sheath is for. All it does is add bulk. Maybe it's to help get a better grip on it when unsheathing?

Some of them did have chakma and karda, which is why the metal hump is there, other like yours didn't. In either case they prevent the scabbard from sliding out of your sash. ;)

Thank you both for the additional information.

Seeing such a Khuk makes me wonder at the vast range of older HI products awaiting re-discovery. :D

I'm pretty sure the metal on that scabbard is white metal or steel. Note the resemblance to the bolster. Silver is far whiter and more shiny
