Trying to indentify smaller HI khukri

I'm pretty sure the metal on that scabbard is white metal or steel. Note the resemblance to the bolster. Silver is far whiter and more shiny

I concur:) The good Sargent is a fantastic metalsmith. Generally, his more flashy pieces are done in white metal or nickle silver. I have one of these blades with a more blackish horn handle and a blue felt cover. It's a very functional knife and scabbard. I believe i have it stashed in my truck some place. It makes a great little khuk when you don't need a REAL khuk.

I need to get one of his full sized pieces.

Kothimoda Bilton, and if I recall correctly Sgt. khadka did it.

Yep, and in the larger 12" sizes it was called a Dhankuta Kothimoda. Sgt. Khadka made most of them. I sold most of my 9 and 10" ones, but still have a set of three 12.5" ones in yellow / red / and black and white metal scabbards.

This one has some incredible green horn on the handle. Very nice.

Not even close to all of them, and I am sure not even half but it's a start.

With your help a very good start. Many thanks.

Thanks also to Svashtar for the explanation of the difference between a Dhankuta Kothimoda and the Kothimoda Bilton. ;)

These facts really belong in the new sticky re: Recommendation? First Khukuri- Recommendations and Reasons.
