Trying to locate a knife!

Maybe you need to relax a bit and be more reasonable. I can understand and appreciate your enthusiasm, however, this does appear to be a fairly rare knife. If it was common, you'd see pictures of this thing plastered all over the place. Another thing, it's currently Saturday night, not everyone is online at the moment. Patience will help get you answers, being too pushy may get you the opposite.

What is your budget for a new knife?

I know what you mean! Lol I just get antsy when I see something I want! Lol

My budget would go from $50 to about $300 would prolly be my tops!

As for other potential knives, you might want to look at some of Darrel Ralph's work, as he uses Chad Nichols damascus extensively in his custom pieces. There's even a damascus option on the HTM Gunhammer.

Yes, there really are no benefits to damascus other than it looks pretty and its an expensive process. It's usually used on collector knives.

Ryan, look into the HTM knives. They are very good quality, and are customizable to some extent. Unfortunately, a Damascus blade might put you over your budget. However, there are a lot of highly talented knifemakers here that could install a new blade on just about any folder you could think of. So in theory, if you bought the regular EX-01, someone might be able to create a Damascus blade for you, for not too much money.

I've seen the Hogue EX F01 fixed blade in a Damascus version at a few on-line shops. The easiest thing to do would be to call Hogue directly. Mike

Just got a reply from Allen! Here is what he said!



This knife is part of a small run Hogue offered for sale at the Blade show in 2010. They made the knives but I ground the blades myself out of Chad Nichols Damascus. They are not offered for sale and unless you can find one from that run for sale.
