Hello

Just went to a gun show on Jan 5 in Shreveport and found a custom knife maker there. His last name starts with a "W" and is about 5 to 7 letters long. I never did get a card or any information about him, guess it just was not my day. Anyway if you know of a custom knife maker in the Shreveport area and his last name starts with a "w" please let me know.

(I have tried to contact the company that puts on those gun shows and asked them to look over their vendor list, no reply from them as of yet.)

There is a Horace Wiggins(7 letters exactly) from Mansfield, LA, not sure if that is near Shreveport.

Thanks for the quick reply there Steve, I will check into that. The other thing that I remembered is that this guy that I am looking for does not have a website. He is just an old fashion folding knife maker. His knives were very unique and VERY tight, no play at all.

I've called around for days since you contacted me and I think I may have found the guy.

Try Bob Wiygel at (318)-865-9916. He is a fellow who has been at all the Shreveport Gun & Knife shows for many years. He mainly does folders.

I'm sorry that I couldn't remember his name when you called me. I have not done the local Gun & Knife Show since about 1999. I tried it once and most of the folks were looking for K-Mart specials rather than high quality handmades.
