Trying to master the search function

I must be doing something wrong on the search function. I click "Search this forum", and enter my topic- for example, "hollow grinding", and all I get back is a white screen that says "Done" at the bottom.

Could someone please point me in the right direction. I feel certain that some of my questions have been answered a zillion times, and I don't want to bore the old timers with these same old questions. Sorry to have to ask.

Thanks,
Dave

The search function is awful. To search through the archive, I use a normal search engine like Yahoo, then type what I'm searching for, then add site:bladeforums.com to the end of it. So, for example type "hollow grinding site:bladeforums.com".

Edit: Minus the quotes of course, though quotes can be used in other ways when searching, but that's a different subject.

gge thanks for that tip larrin, i had given up on searching bladeforums because the search function is useless, but that works a treat
