Ok so i assume forged was replaced with sintered?

With a computerized milling machine the 2 halves can be made in about a minute. I don't know how the frame is made, but getting away from heating the brass would be replaced by a computerized machine. Milling from brass bar stock would be simple since it is a very soft metal.

You are right your knife is Macassar Ebony not laminated or Crelicam Ebony from Camaroon.
