TSA laws changing, now I need another pocket knife...

I think the Victorinox Rambler with a clip attached with VHT tape would be my choice. That or a Gerber Dime with a suspension clip on the keyring.

First off, I'm pretty sure nobody will give a damn about a 1.9 inch little knife shorter than a Swiss Army knife that looks like a USB drive, SECOND, it is legal to take an automatic knife across state lines, and who's to say I'm not flying from Flagstaff to Tucson?
Or, I could be flying in a private jet...

Pretty sure they will.

Guns have gotten past TSA, please let's not give them too much credit. Still, any and all advice should be to follow regs and laws.

TSA still does not allow 'molded' handles, so a lot of traditionals are out, unless maybe it is an equal end or sleeveboard. Serpentines, doglegs, swaybacks, etc. would appear to be right out, since TSA really only made the allowance for an SAK. It's the only allowed knife shown in their pdf, while plenty of banned ones are featured.

How about some of those money clip-type knives - there must be readily available variations of those easily found?

As far as I know, all plastic/G10 handles are "molded".
So maybe they only want us to use the ALOX.?.

No, it was the shape, not really the material. Anything other than a straight handle is prohibited for some reason. The only reason I can think of is that TSA only specifically wanted to allow keychain SAKs, the length and handle restrictions don't make a lot of sense otherwise.

Are you sure about that? I thought their idea of a molded handle meant finger grooves.

Of course with the ridiculous terminology they are using I guess it's better to be safe than sorry.

Finger grooves, and anything else that makes it conform to your hand better. Only thing allowed is a straight handle.
