TSPROF axicube - Thoughts on this new angle cube? Worth it over Hapstone?

777 Edge,
thanks for the tip.
Regarding my question in my previous post... would I see improvements on my edges if I go for Axucube? What would I gain if I spend and buy Axicube?

The only minus point I see is when I calibrate Axicube I need to have my sharpener exactly on this place. If my table is tilted and I by accident move the sharpener the Axicube will show false angle. I usually sharpen on my kitchen table so each time I will put my sharpener on the table I need to go through this calibrating procedure. If I move my sharpener upstairs I need to calibrate it again. Sounds complicated.
Would it be simpler if I just use my ordinary angle cube?

No, I wouldn't necessarily say an Axicube will improve someone's edges unless they use their angle cube incorrectly. You can get just as good a result with a normal angle cube - as long as you know its limits.

Some guys mess up their edges by not understanding, and using a basic digital angle cube incorrectly.

Regarding Axicube, there are two different Axicube models. With an Axicube-i, you are correct. Its accuracy is dependent on keeping your sharpening system in the same spot as where you calibrated it.

Axicube-One is different. An Axicube-one can be used on various systems and in any position because it is basically an intelligent 3 axis digital angle cube.

There is now an Axicube One "rev.3" available for sale at Tsprof US. Improvement over rev.2? Difference?

Tsprof got back to me: Rev. 3 is the last version of the Axicube One. It shows Lo for low battery instead of showing certain charge values. This is due to the peculiarities of the Axicube battery, which would occasionally show different values when you turn it on.
