Looks like I need a new compressor if I want to have air conditioning this summer in my 2012 VW Golf R, and yes....yes I do want this. While thinking about raising some $$ for this unexpected cost, I looked at my collection of 12 great knives and 8 amazing watches and thought.....naaahh!
So, I'm going to part with this excellent TSPROF Kadet, a newcomer from Russia in the world of premium fixed angle sharpening systems that is getting rave reviews. Also included is a set of six Venev Orion diamond matrix stones (80, 150, 240, 400, 800, 1200 grit - each used once), a balsa strop with 5-micron CBN paste - used once, two glass blanks with 2000 & 3000 grit polishing tapes - unused, and a Wixey digital angle meter- unused. Note that the TSPROF Kadet can use stone blanks for a number of different systems.....in this case, the stones, strop, and blank are sized for the Edge Pro system.
I ordered this TSPROF Kadet on April 19th, and have used it a grand total of ONE time. With the progression of Venex Orion stones and balsa strop/5-micron paste (I didn't use the polishing tapes), I put a razor edge with nice polish on my Native Salt, which had gotten pretty dull as my most used knife. Having previous experience with the great KME sharpening system, I have to admit that this TSPROF is the better option all around, with precision machining, more choices for stones (KME & Edge Pro stones fit nicely), and a nice solid, weighted base. I paid $577 from Gritomatic for everything here (for comparison with KME, the TSPROF Kadet with three basic diamond stones is $350), in addition to $27 for the Wixey digital angle gauge from Amazon.
I'm asking $475 - PayPal G&S, for the entire package described above, which I think is a great deal on a terrific system whose components cost $600 total and has only been used once. , with USPS Priority shipping to CONUS.
Edit: Although da rules here state that payment by PayPal F&F is "strongly discouraged", I think I have enough of a history and 100% positive reputation here to offer PayPal F&F with confidence to the buyer....in that case, take off $25, for a total of $450.
