About a year and a half ago I ordered a Fallkniven A1 from a web store called "Blade Realms". I never got the knife, and reported this to the Tucson, Arizona police department (Blade Realms was located in Tucson).

I just recieved a letter from the Tucson police asking for any evidence - reciepts, emails, etc. - pertaining to my transaction, to help them prosecute Blade Realms. Apparently they got many more complaints about Blade Realms in addition to mine.

I thought I would post this message in case any other BladeForums members had a problem with Blade Realms. If they ripped you off, I am sure the Tucson Police Dept. would like to know about it. You can do an internet search and find the Tucson Police Dept. website, and get contact information there.

W.T.:

It might help if you could post the name and possible extension number of the detective who has been assigned your case. Your case number or other personal information will not be necessary but his name could help get possible other persons into contact with him much faster.

All the best regarding the matter at hand.

I'd love to join in BUT I declined the credit card payment and, so, lost nothing. Other than that, same story: order -- silence -- no knife.

Hello Thomas,

I also had the charges reversed on my credit card, and therefore lost nothing. However, it is possible your credit card company could not recover the money.

Since the Tucson Police have asked for my evidence, I think they must know that they can prosecute whether or not a customer was able to get the charges reversed on their credit card. Whether it was the customer or the credit card company that ultimately got ripped off, I think it is in both our best interests that such e-stores are prosecuted.

The detective's name on the letter I recieved is Roxanne Washington. I am reluctant to post her email or phone number because I have not received her permission, and did not inform her I would post this message in BladeForums. However, it is quite easy to get contact information from the Tucson police website. I simply did a search on "Tucson police department", found their website, and then found an email address under their contact info.

I will post the mailing address:

Tucson Police Department
270 S. Stone Avenue
Tucson, Az. 85701

I got ripped off by those bastards, however my bank was able to reverse the charges too. I got a call while all of this was going on from another knife company stating they would sell me the same knife I ordered from Blade Realm at a greatly reduced price. I guess when BR was going out of business, they either gave away customer info or sold it. I told the other co. to F@#K Off.

Hi Sharpstick,

The letter I recieved from the Tucson police detective includes the following: "Blade Realms, AKA, Blade Universe, Midwest Ohio Knives and Xontek." Maybe the other company that phoned you was actually the people from Blade Realms, after they changed their business name.
It is a common ploy for businesses to change their names to escape a bad reputation.

Local radio reports Bladerealms has relocated to Nevada. I was in the store once, after seeing the web page, and was not impressed. Set up like a school lunch room. Tables of less than crap knives with signs on the tables, $5; $10; $20. No one there was a native English speaker. My guess was India or Pakistan. They had a few swords and better knives behind the counter. A real "fly by night" operation. Guess night came, off they flew.
