I just felt it necessary to post a thread that would help to clarify and give some well deserved credit to Geoff Blauvelt owner of TUFFKNIVES and also known as Tuffthumbz on youtube. I want to start off by saying I had never met Geoff before having him do some work on a knife for me. I was not a friend or have any business dealings with him at this time and just writing a BS post to increase his sales. I would just like to let people know he is a trustworthy guy that has an unbelieveable eye when it comes to knives. It is my belief that he could become one of the better known names in the knife world in the future. This man loves knives and loves making his customers happy. I usually don't post in forums but do visit them from time to time to see what is new. I don't like drama but I sure do like knives and just think that others who enjoy knives also should look into his work and see it for what it is and that is OUTSTANDING! Here is a 27 year old man busting his butt doing what he loves. He is starting a business from scratch and putting his heart and soul into it. This is the kind of guy, us as knife lovers should get behind. At one time in my life I owned well over a 100 knives mostly folders, ranging in the price range of $25 dollars to thousands and thousands of dollars a piece. I have had work done by some of the best in the business and can see quality. Geoff puts out a quality that is incredible for the short time he has been at it, actually a lot better quality then others who are the so called guys to get custom work done by. He also wants his customers happy and isn't just in this for money. He cares what his customers think and will bend over backwards for them. I read a few posts that weren't so positive about him, TOTAL BS. Everyone has an opinion and that is what life is all about. I am urging everyone to make an honest opinion for themselves and check him out,I think you will be more than pleased. Some people are always going to hate on others, just the society we live in, it could be for selfish greedy reasons or just that an individual is miserable themselves so let's bash someone else. Sorry for the rant and hope this doesn't turn into some bs drama. Geoff is a great guy doing some incredible work period and good quality work isn't seen much nowadays and doesn't happen over night. So people wanting custom work on knives need to understand that it doesn't happen overnight, and you will have to wait more than a day or two before you start bugging him for your knife back, remember waiting well over a year waiting for a custom knife to get back to me, it comes with wanting something above the norm, in which in my opinion nowadays the norm is crap. Hell if you want your knife back quick send it to me, I'll get it right back to you, but I have a feeling you aren't going to like it too much. My name is Bobby and you can see one of the knives he did for me on youtube and that is the Yuna Mini Hard 1. Enough said and sorry to ramble, it is what I do, that is why I don't post.
 
sorry no pics check him out on youtube or maybe some of his other customers would like to post some knives they have had done by him or maybe Geoff himself could post some off his work or go to------tuffknives.com------ he has a few galleries there and as far as being a ramble yes but it is the truth and the truth needs to be spoken sometimes, sorry if it offends any one, actually I could care less just check out his stuff--------Bobby
