I didn't know what to expect when I got my first Emerson Karambit, but quickly discovered just how confidence inspiring it would become. I carry it daily on my weak side, in the reverse grip position. It deploys rapidly, and makes an outstanding impact tool. I can't say enough good things about it.

So...When Emerson Knives offered a super brief run of their Tungsten Karambit(gone in like 20 minutes), I was glued to the keyboard. It has gray G10 scales, black liners, and a Tungsten colored Cerakote blade and clip. Mine is lucky #13.

What???? How did I miss that???? I love the Emerson Karambit, my Combat is beat to sh!t but keeps on ticking. Ahhhhh, Monica!!!!

very nice! congrats! i am plannimg on some diy cerakote or black DLC for the liners on my production emersons

i am thinking about a karambit with od green scales and black liners now... maybe the green scales become available? i think they had some for the karambit? at least i remember they had them for some models a while back?

You never know when, then all of a sudden, Emerson will spring forth with a short run. If I was limited to one Emerson, it would be the Combat Karambit. From the moment I put the first one in my pocket, it's been nothing but SD bliss. You already have the black liners. You could get a custom set of OD scales.

Thank you mycough. I sold it(too many knives; not enough money, lol) to fund another Unicorn. That would be a BT Tiger. Still have my-never get rid of-Christmas Camo Karambit.

Wow, it would be tough to let go of that Tungsten K-bit, but then I already have an OD Tiger.

You're right. It was very tough to let go, except for three things: 1. I can't tell you how badly I've wanted a Tiger. 2. I have a great Combat Karambit. 3. I was able to do a good deed, because someone wanted the Tungsten Karambit as much as I wanted the Tiger. That made me feel good, and so it was going to a good home. I just missed getting an OD Tiger. My hunt for that and a SF Tiger continues.

Still have this one.

i ll have yet to get a karambit for myself - maybe they release an od geeen version again! black blade and liners along with od scales...

Nice piece you got!

I live in Europe and have been waiting to have the money to get an Emerson Karambit, now that I have it I have the dilemma of getting the discontinued "needle tip" (see photo) which is available in a web page in the UK or wait to get / import the reinforced tip version, which I have not seen in any page in Europe, at least not with black blade.
What is your opinion about the two versions? I like the look of the old one but recognize the tip may be feeble, I do not expect to abuse the knife though. Decisions : S.
