Tungston Steel?

Has Kershaw (or any other knife company for that matter) done, or thought of doing, anything with a tungston steel? Such as M2, M35 or M42? Other than its lack of rust resistance (low chromo levels, which can be improved by DLC layer), it seems like it would be a very nice upgrade for some of the larger CB, like the JYD2, Rake, or maybe another CB Blur.

Surely the cost would not make it too much more expensive, and the improved edge should be significantly better, in both sharpness and edge retention.

Maybe there is some factor that I'm missing, but I think it could be an excellent option to help stand out from the crowd (how many companies use D2 or S30V or 440 or now Elmax?).

We haven't played with any of these steels as of today.

Well, VG-Max has some Tungston in it (only 0.50%), so that might be a good stepping stone. They've done SG-2, so a VG-Max shouldn't be too extreme.
