Hello everyone,
I finished this one today.
Inspired in Tim Hancock's hunters (Tim is one of my knifemaker idols)
Is the first time I make an even layer, low count turkish damascus and I love the result. I will definitely be doing this one again.
Stag is red deer from Patagonia.
Hope you like it:

Manuel, another fantastic piece, love the turkish. What materials are you using for your damascus? Very nice contrast.
Cheers Keith

Thank you guys.
Steels are good old 5160 and 15n20, but the damascus is treated with manganese phosphate. That is why its so black and white, with the additional benefit of being much more rust resistant.

Thanks for the heads up mate, as I stated before, great contrast!
Cheers Keith

Beautiful knife. Seems to be quite a bit of Tim Hancock influence, which IMHO is a very good thing.

Could you please elaborate on the ratios and processes for etching with manganese phosphate?

Manuel,
I really love your work and attention to detail in every way.
i like the use of manganese phosphate, i was going to ask that question..
Thanks for showing.
